Former Greek queen returns home

January 11, 1935

Former Queen Elizabeth of Greece returned from Belgrade today, and said she plans to take up a life "of complete independence," in Bucharest, according to an Associated Press dispatch.
Her decision to return home "adds another sorrow to the cares of her mother," Dowager Queen Marie of Roumania.  Elizabeth recently told her mother that she has no plans to reconcile with her husband, George, the former sovereign of Greece.
Elizabeth had been visiting her younger sister, Queen Marie, in Belgrade.

Marlene, is this quote true, because it's one of my favorites of all time:

"I've committed every vice known to man except murder. And I don't want to die without having done that either!"

She sounds like a real character!

I believe it is a true statement.
